The Threads of Vitality project presented a joint performance by Czech and Japanese artists, who performed live simultaneously in Osaka and Brno. The concert connected the Czech National Pavilion at EXPO 2025 with the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, and visitors could see it six times a day.
The performers came from the Czech Republic and Japan, and they all had something in common: they had studied at JAMU in Brno. The musical dramaturgy introduced the EXPO audience to the Czech musical tradition, enriched by the use of state-of-the-art technology. The project was created in cooperation between the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, the CESNET association, and DISK Systems. A total of eighteen concerts were held over three days, and the audience in Osaka showed extraordinary interest. The 150-seat hall was always filled to capacity, and a long queue formed in front of the Czech pavilion. Watch a short video produced by Disk Systems to get a taste of this unique experience.
